The Search for Everyday Altars

Have you made a personal altar that has inspired you to grow in the last year?  Do you have a special indoor or outdoor sacred place that feeds your soul?  Maxine Shivaya Manning is looking for everyday altars to study for her upcoming book, Altars Everywhere.
For this project, Maxine is travelling around the Pacific Northwest to talk with people about their experience making altars. She is interested in how and why you made your altar and how it helped you. With your permission, she is collecting stories and photographs of everyday altars in gardens, on porches and in homes.
